Winnebago Industries was founded in Forest City in 1958. The company recently moved its corporate headquarters to Eden Prairie, Minn., but it still has its largest plant in Forest City.

Way up north along the border,

Not far from Albert Lea,

You'll find Winnebago County.

It's one of only three.

You've probably heard of Winnebago,

Known for making motor homes,

Right here in Forest City

For the family that roams.

Forest City is unusual

For an Iowa county seat.

Part of it's in Hancock County,

Which is just across the street.
