Jim Garrison (1921-92), born in Denison, was the district attorney in New Orleans from 1962 to 1973. He led investigations into the assassination of President Kennedy. He was played by Kevin Costner in the film "JFK." The Lincoln Highway through Iowa is U.S. Route 30.
West of Carroll, north of Harlan,
