Adams County

Adams County was named for a president,

But nobody's certain which one.

Was it Prez number two, John Adams?

Or was it John Quincy, his son?

Adams County is not very crowded.

There's plenty of room here to roam.

With the state's smallest population,

Just three thousand people now make it their home.

The county seat city is Corning.

Its first people came here from France.

Icarians they were called, a bunch of utopians

Who shared the entire expanse.

Was, of course, Johnny Carson the host

Always taped on the east or west coast.
