The Chautauqua building (1908) is one of the best-preserved in the country. The World's Largest Popcorn Ball (9,370 pounds) honors Sac County's history as a major producer of popcorn.

Chautauqua is pronounced shaw-TAW-kwa.

This county's name is Sac (not Sack),

And here's its derivation:

The Sac (or Sauk) were here
